Which clinic is the right fit?

Recommendation for Each Clinic –

Tournament Training Clinic must be approved by Director of Tennis Sanjin Kunovac.

Munchkins – This clinic introduces 4-7 year old children to the game of tennis through a variety of fun, skill-building activities. Players learn the fundamental stroke production and ABCs of tennis (agility, balance, and coordination). Participants will play on 36-foot courts.

Competitive Clinic – Competitive Clinic is for players ages 8-18 at an intermediate level. Participants are working towards tournament play or actively participating in District Level USTA tournaments. Each class is 1.5 hours long.

Tournament Training Competitive – (Minimum Recommended UTR of 2.0 for both girls and boys) For performance players ages 9-18 who are committed to a full tournament schedule, and have the desire to compete on the national level

Tournament Training 1 – (Minimum Recommended UTR of 4.5 for girls and 5.5 for boys) – Tournament Training 1 is an intense training program for players ages 12-18. Players are introduced to high-performance training and expected to train at a high level. The goal of this program is to develop all aspects of the student’s game – technical, strategy, tactics, psychological (mental/emotional), and physical/athletic – with the intent of developing the skills needed to help each student reach their full potential as a player. This program is for players who are committed to training and competing in tournaments on a full-time basis.

How many times per week can I attend?

The registration covers one day per week. That will be the same day recurring for the 13-week session. You can register for as many days of the week as the clinic is offered.

Will my child be playing with children at the same level?

The players are placed on court based on skill level/age so your child will be grouped with players at their level. Every single day of the week we have different players that come in so you will have the opportunity to play with a variety of players.

What if I need to miss a class?

LEGACY offers up to 2 make-ups for any missed clinics if notified 24+ hours in advance that you are not attending. You just need to fill out the make-ups form and we will get back to you with a confirmation. If a make-up is scheduled then it is counted whether or not you attend. Make-ups must be completed within your session. No make-ups are guaranteed.

What is the coach:player ratio?

1-4 and 1-5 is the ratio. Sometimes we play games where we have more players on the court but 90% of the time the ratio is 1-5 or better.

What happens if I can no longer attend a clinic?

We do not offer credit or refunds for clinics once they have started with few exceptions. If you need to withdraw for any medical-related reasons, please contact our Senior Director of Operations, Kat Sorokko.

What do I need to bring?

Your player will need to bring a racquet and a refillable water bottle. Tennis sneakers and proper athletic attire should be worn.
