Additional Info
The best thing about tennis is that it grows with you, with a wide array of racquets, balls, and courts to match your level of play and athleticism. With smaller courts, shorter racquets, and lower bouncing balls, youth players will achieve greater physical activity and feel successful at tennis right from the start.
Here is a look at the different levels of tennis currently available:
GETTING STARTED — RED BALL
The tennis journey starts with red. Red balls can be made of foam or felt, are larger, bounce lower and travel slower than the standard yellow ball making it easier to learn and acquire skills. Red Courts are short and narrow, making it easy for players to focus on learning the fundamentals of the game.
MOVING ON — ORANGE BALL
Orange balls travel through the air a little faster and farther than the red ball, but are the same size and still bounce lower than a yellow ball. Slightly smaller than the full-size 78' court, Orange Courts are ideal for players who are still developing their athletic, technical, and competitive skills.
LEVEL UP — GREEN BALL
Green balls have a slightly reduced bounce compared to the yellow ball making the transition to a full-size 78' court much easier. At this stage, while continuing to improve their tactical and technical skills, a player's size does not hinder their ability to cover a full-size tennis court.
Go Pro — YELLOW BALL
Yellow ball level is what most people know as traditional tennis. The balls, courts and racquets at this level are used in the majority of adult matches and at the professional level.

Tournament Training 1 – (Minimum Recommended UTR of 4.5 for girls and 5.5 for boys) – Tournament Training 1 is an intense training program for players ages 12-18. Players are introduced to high-performance training and expected to train at a high level. The goal of this program is to develop all aspects of the student’s game – technical, strategy, tactics, psychological (mental/emotional), and physical/athletic – with the intent of developing the skills needed to help each student reach their full potential as a player. This program is for players who are committed to training and competing in tournaments on a full-time basis.
The registration covers one day per week. That will be the same day recurring for the 13-week session. You can register for as many days of the week as the clinic is offered.
The players are placed on court based on skill level/age so your child will be grouped with players at their level. Every single day of the week we have different players that come in so you will have the opportunity to play with a variety of players.
LEGACY offers up to 2 make-ups for any missed clinics if notified 24+ hours in advance that you are not attending. You just need to fill out the make-ups form and we will get back to you with a confirmation. If a make-up is scheduled then it is counted whether or not you attend. Make-ups must be completed within your session. No make-ups are guaranteed.

1-4 and 1-5 is the ratio. Sometimes we play games where we have more players on the court but 90% of the time the ratio is 1-5 or better.
We do not offer credit or refunds for clinics once they have started with few exceptions. If you need to withdraw for any medical-related reasons, please contact our Senior Director of Operations, Kat Sorokko.
Your player will need to bring a racquet and a refillable water bottle. Tennis sneakers and proper athletic attire should be worn.
