Baba Taiye Renfrow, married of 20 years and has a 12 year old daughter, resides in Montgomery County, Pa. Baba is currently a Client Success Coach at a Fidelity Investments owned company called eMoney in Radnor, Pa. in which he works with hundreds of financial advisors, helping them build financial plans for their clients. Baba also co-hosts a series of fundraisers called SYNERGY: A Philanthropic Initiative that benefits various nonprofit organizations who support children, their families and their communities in the Philadelphia area.
Growing up, Baba lived on the 6200 Block of Osage Avenue in West Philadelphia. Baba, his parents Wayne and Connie Renfrow, and his younger siblings Nicole and Amir lived on 62nd and Osage Ave. when the City of Philadelphia dropped a bomb on the MOVE house/compound. Baba’s family, like the other 60 residents of the 6200 Blocks of Osage Avenue and the south side of the 6200 Block of Pine Street, were completely burned out of their homes and displaced. Shortly after the tragedy, Baba’s father Gerald Wayne Renfrow was elected as Block Captain and held that position some 35 years until his passing in 2020. Baba has closely watched all interactions and developments that have taken place since the beginning of this saga. Baba, his parents and siblings are also featured in the MOVE tragedy documentary “The Bombing of Osage”.
