LEGACY’s Half-Day Community Tennis Summer Camp is offered in 11 locations across Philly. Camp runs from 9:00am – 1:00pm with breaks for snacks and water.
Players will learn how to play tennis (we encourage complete beginners to sign up and learn!), how to score games, how to serve, return, volley and anything else you can do on a tennis court!
Campers will also participate in educational activities revolved around reading, writing, and art! Players will also learn about tennis and civil rights icons like Arthur Ashe and Althea Gibson.
Camp runs Monday – Friday from June 22nd to August 7th and costs $100 for all 7 – weeks of camp.
LEGACY’s Community Tennis Summer Camp is an outdoor camp which means we are closed for inclement weather (rain or extreme heat).
We encourage campers to bring a tennis racket if they have one but we will provide rackets for all campers who don’t have one!
Many of our CTSC campers go on to becoming Junior Instructors (JI’s). Being a JI is an opportunity to learn responsibility, leadership, mentorship and make some money over the summer.
If you’re interested in becoming a Junior Instructor (Must be at least 14 years old) please see more details here or reach out to our Community Programs Coordinator, Devynne McClelland at dmcclelland@legacyyte.org
