On Friday, January 31, students and staff from LEGACY’s OST program at Overbrook Educational Center took part in a meaningful Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service initiative, visiting the Kearsley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center to distribute care packages to the residents.
The care packages, assembled by students from all four schools in the LEGACY OST program, were filled with essential items and included a personalized card. During the visit, students from Overbrook Educational Center had the opportunity to personally distribute the packages to residents.
During their visit, the group toured the facility, guided by Carolyn Eaton, who introduced the students to residents. The visit was particularly special as some students recognized familiar faces from previous years. The interaction fostered moments of joy, as students engaged in conversations, shared smiles, and left behind thoughtful gifts.
LEGACY extends its gratitude to Carolyn Eaton and the dedicated staff at Kearsley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their warm hospitality and ongoing support in making this experience impactful.
