Legacy Youth Tennis and Education is delighted to announce our new Board Chair, Maria McGarry, Esq! Maria has been an active board member for more than a decade, an Executive Committee Member, and served as head of the Program Committee prior to her appointment as Chairperson.

Maria brings valuable experience as the Chief Compliance Officer of The Glenmede Trust Company, N.A and Glenmede Investment Management LP. She is responsible for Glenmede’s Compliance Program, assuring its material effectiveness in addressing legal and regulatory obligations. Maria has also held various compliance and legal positions in financial services throughout her career. She spent her early legal career as a litigator representing financial services clients in large Philadelphia law firms.

Maria has a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and mass communications from the University of Scranton. We are thrilled to officially welcome her as Board Chair and support her continued service to LEGACY.

At this time of transition, we would also like to extend our deepest appreciation and thanks to LEGACY’s outgoing Board Chair, Jonathan Spergel, Esq of Manko Gold Katcher and Fox, who has served for the past 5 years. LEGACY has seen tremendous programmatic, financial and cultural growth under Jonathan and we cannot thank him enough for his leadership. Thankfully, Jonathan is not going far and he will continue to serve as Assistant Board Secretary and as Event Chair of LEGACY on the Lawn.
