Joey Kelly’s journey from his early days at LEGACY to committing to play tennis at Moravian University, stands as a testament to years of hard work and perseverance. Spending a decade honing his skills on the courts of LEGACY, Joey’s decision to join the currently undefeated 11-0 Moravian Men’s Tennis team marks a significant milestone in his athletic career.

“When I found out that Moravian had given me an offer, I was relieved and excited because they were my top choice,” Joey recalled. Reflecting on the decision-making process, he added, “It was between two schools, and once Moravian gave me the offer, I took about a month to think about it and then decided to commit there.” Joey celebrated his commitment by attending Acceptance Day and having dinner with his family.

Looking forward to college life, Joey expressed his anticipation stating, “I’m most looking forward to continuing to play and grow as a tennis player as part of a team and experience college life.” His dedication to collegiate tennis, cultivated over the last decade, has been evident throughout his hard work and persistence. Reflecting on his time at LEGACY, Joey acknowledged, “The coaches obviously taught me how to play tennis, but more than that, they have taught me from a young age how to be confident in myself and be dedicated to the things I love doing.”
